What’s Growing in AtmosFAN’s Pumpkin Patch?

It’s gardening season, and we have some advice: Plant pumpkins! What else could you possibly want to grow?! If the Halloween harvest looks as good as what we discovered at Heath Haunt in Rohnert Park, Calif., we are certain pumpkin seeds will be soon flying off the shelves. Don’t forget the bone meal and biosolids ... especially if they are certified organic decaying zombies!

There are some fantastic looking gourds growing from the strange soil at Heath Haunt – as well as so many other creepy things!

We would be lying if we told you that what first drew our attention to this peculiar pumpkin patch wasn’t the terrific “pumpkin mode display” of Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 Decoration. This, of course, is the technique of projecting directly onto uncarved pumpkins, creating the illusion that they have come to life to sing, crack jokes and tell Halloween stories. Heath Haunt has created the illusion perfectly!

But of course, there are so many incredible pumpkins to look at. The technique of situating – sometimes even hiding – the Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree Decoration amongst dozens other intricately detailed pumpkins is something that we are seeing more and more of. By situating the digital pumpkins amongst, uh, the more traditional versions creates a surprise for the viewer. They might not first notice that some of the pumpkins are actually speaking to them – but they will! And when they do, you’ll see everyone begin to inspect each and all of the remaining pumpkins, analyzing each for their every detail.

Here are a few other AtmosFANS of the Week who have also mixed their pumpkin mode displays amongst many other pumpkins. As you can see from this, or this, there are a lot of great options.

And while we are on the topic of gardening our pumpkin patch, let’s discuss one other thing that Heath Haunt is doing very well: growth.

For so many, creating a Facebook page for their Halloween (and Christmas!) display has been a way to build anticipation, grow an audience and create notoriety. AtmosFANs tell us all the time that they will hear from people on their Facebook page as early as July or August looking to find out what will be in store for the upcoming Halloween! And when the time comes for the Big Event, communicating through the Facebook page is essential.

And when you do build your Facebook page, make sure to link it to the AtmosFX Decorating Community Facebook page. It’s a great way to share ideas, ask questions, and build community with countless decorators around the world.

We love how your pumpkin patch continues to grow, Heath Haunt – and we can’t wait to check back this October! Until then, we will continue to check out the Heath Haunt Facebook page. Will you join us?

How are you preparing for the upcoming Halloween season? What did you do last year? We want to see it all! Send us your photos and videos using this simple online form and you may become the next AtmosFAN of the Week! All submissions earn AtmosFX Kudos, which can be traded for discounts on AtmosFX products. And each winner receives a complete decoration collection of their choice!
